I haven’t had a proper main for a very long time. If you don’t raid there’s not as many benefits to it in my opinion, and since I’m an altoholic I tend to have a multitude of toons I focus on. But with that being said, I feel like it’s time for a main once again.
When I started playing SWTOR and decided on a main there it actually felt really nice to know what toon to focus on the most. And now that I’m thinking about gearing up a toon in WoW it is defiantly time for a main again. I tend to say that it doesn’t matter what characters I decide to focus on at the start of an expansion I always go back to paladins in the end, and so is the case time as well.
My “new” main is my alliance paladin: Nef. But she’s really not a new main at all. She is one of the characters that have been with me the longest and also one of the characters I have the most time played one. She was my main for late vanilla, most of BC and big chunks of WotLK. When I play her it feels a bit like coming home, and that doesn’t happen with many characters.
She is mainly a healer and I wouldn’t dream of raiding or PvPing with her in any other spec than holy. For other content I’m more flexible.
I’m bound to main hopp again in the future, probably the next expac. But for now Nef will be the one to get some special attention. And yes, I will still spend a lot of time on my alts. If I didn’t Iwould get bored and my alts would get sad.
